From last cosecutive two years we had successfully conducted SDP programmes in village- Pandri, Block – Marwahi District – Bilaspur. In these SDP programme the funding agency Nabard had supported a lot in making this SDP programme a successful one. With the participation of DDM Nabard Bilaspur and other officials from forest department the training programme in Vill. - Pandri, Block – Marwahi, Dist. – Bilaspur has done successfully. After completion of a successful training programme it was decided that a committee will be formed which will give further training to the artisans for the coming three to four months and with the help of this, products of artisans will be properly distributed or marketed so that they can earn a decent earning.
We had also established a training centre for the artisans who had attended the training programme and machines were provided to artisans through forest department and with this assistance they are doing their work in proper way.
The forest department officials and the Nabard officials has agreed to give full support and assistance for this programme and with the help of Rural Mart they agreed to open different outlets of Bamboo Craft products in the area and to establish a Bamboo processing unit so that the quality bamboo products can be produced and available in the market. So we are also looking for a bright future of these bamboo artisans.
